Female Personal Trainer in Point Cook - Fujiwhara Personal Training
Training can feel very different when you have a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, learning at your own pace, and working towards goals that actually matter to you. At Fujiwhara Personal Training in Point Cook, women can work with a female personal trainer in a private home studio where sessions are shaped around individual ability, movement and goals.
With more than 20 years of experience across personal training, movement and wellness coaching, Emma Laitala takes a broader approach to fitness. Her focus goes beyond weight loss or simply completing a workout. Strength, mobility, functional movement, confidence and long-term physical capability all form part of the way she works with clients.
Meet Emma Laitala, Your Female Fitness Coach
With more than two decades of experience in personal training and movement, Emma has worked with women at different stages of life and with different training backgrounds. Her approach is influenced by functional movement and the Weck Method, helping her look at how the body moves rather than treating every workout as a set of isolated exercises.
Sessions can be adjusted based on your current ability, how you move, and what you want to improve. This can be particularly useful if you are returning to exercise, want to build strength, or simply prefer a more personal environment than a busy commercial gym.
Personalised Training for Every Stage of Life
Your reasons for exercising can change as life changes. What you need as a beginner may be very different from what you want to work on during perimenopause, menopause, or later life. As a female fitness coach, Emma can adapt your training to where you are now and what you want to achieve.
Beginners
If you’re new to exercise or returning after a break, there’s no need to jump straight into difficult workouts. Training can start with simple movements and exercises that help you become more comfortable, build confidence, and gradually improve your strength and fitness.
Weight Loss and Strength
If weight loss is part of your goal, training can include a combination of strength, fitness and functional movement. The focus isn’t just on losing weight, but on becoming stronger and more capable as you build a routine you can maintain.
Perimenopause
Perimenopause can bring changes that may affect how you feel and train. Sessions can be adjusted around your current ability, with a focus on strength, mobility, fitness and confidence rather than pushing through a fixed workout.
Menopause
Menopause training can focus on staying strong, active and mobile while adapting exercise to your current needs. Strength work, movement and fitness can all form part of your training, with exercises adjusted as your goals and ability change.
Healthy Ageing
As you get older, staying strong and mobile can make a real difference to how you move and feel day to day. Training can include strength, balance, coordination and mobility to help you maintain physical capability and confidence for everyday life.
Unlock Your Peak Performance Today!
Menopause and Perimenopause Training
Changes during perimenopause and menopause can affect how you feel about exercise and what you want from your training. Rather than treating this stage as a reason to stop exercising, menopause training can focus on maintaining strength, mobility, fitness and confidence in a way that suits your current needs.
Strength training can be an important part of this approach, particularly when the goal is to maintain muscle and continue feeling physically capable. Sessions can also include mobility, balance and cardiovascular exercise, with intensity adjusted according to your experience and capacity.
As a menopause coach and perimenopause coach, Emma brings her personal understanding and training experience to this area. The aim is not to promise a particular outcome, but to give you practical support and a training approach that can adapt as your needs change.
One-on-One Training for Women
One-on-one training gives you dedicated time to work on your own goals. Instead of following a fixed workout class, exercises can be changed during the session based on your movement, ability, and progress.
This can suit women who want to:
- Build strength and confidence
- Improve mobility and movement
- Return to exercise after time away
- Develop better fitness and endurance
- Train through midlife with a longer-term focus
- Feel more comfortableexercising in a private setting
If you prefer training with others, workout classes for women can provide the motivation and social side of exercising together, while keeping the sessions focused on strength, fitness, and movement.
Is This Approach Right for You?
You don’t need to be highly fit or experienced to start. Training can begin where you are now and progress gradually as you become stronger and more comfortable with the exercises.
The goal is to help you understand your body, develop useful physical skills, and build a level of strength and fitness that supports everyday life. For women going through midlife changes, the focus can also shift as your priorities and training needs change.

Posted on Google Valeriya Zakharova Emma is an amazing trainer and person, I’m glad I have made the decision to work with her 1:1. Emma has an individualised program for me to get from beginner to someone who is fit, toned and resilient. She is very knowledgeable, and what I like most is that the entire body gets a workout with every exercise. Thank you Emma!Posted on Google Andy Tran Both my wife and I have been working with Emma for just over a month now and we can already see positive changes from Emma’s unique approach to strength and fitness training. We really enjoy the private classes where each session is very focus on our goals. Emma makes us feel very comfortable and we really look forward to every session. Look no further! Emma’s the one! Just read the other reviews…Posted on Google Vignesh S I came to Fujiwhara to work with a personal trainer who could help me understand the fundamentals of strength training with an athletic focus, and to overcome lingering injuries. My goal has always been to stay fit for my family and the multiple sports I play, while also reducing the risk of injury. That hasn’t changed. Training with Emma has been a game-changer—her knowledge and ability to teach the basics has kept me on track with my goals and helped me make real progress. The gym itself has a fantastic vibe and all the equipment I need for my training. Since starting, I’ve learned so much—from proper weight loading for strength training to being introduced to the world of athletic movement like coiling and kettlebell fundamentals. One of the most memorable moments was when my chronic hip and ankle pain disappeared within two weeks of training—just goes to show how powerful the right guidance can be. I’ve already recommended Fujiwhara to many friends. Emma’s approach is fundamental, effective, and always tailored to our personal goals!!!Posted on Google Lisa Strong I started training in March this year to improve my core strength and overall fitness. Emma was quick to work out my strengths and areas for improvement, and tailored a personalised program to help me reach my goals. My sessions are always enjoyable, lots of variety to keep it interesting, challenging my fitness, strength and balance. It has been great to move my body again and try new things. With a history of knee pain, Emma has been great at tailoring exercises to improve my strength in this area and I've noticed less pain & more stability, plus an improvement in my overall health. Emma is passionate, friendly, professional and supportive and I would highly recommend Fujiwhara to anyone.Posted on Google Diane Bloom I saw a facebook post over 5 years ago and it was at a time when I knew I needed something for strength training to complement my fitness in my 50's. When I looked at the training it was simple but effective and not the usual gym grind. It was in a suburb on my way to work which was perfect, and then zoom came about which is so convenient to train at home. I started wanting to be stronger for the paddling, biking, golfing and other sports I do to keep fit and enjoy. I now focus more on the understanding that this is going to be a lifelong compliment to staying strong as I grow older gracefully. The program is individually catered and changes every training session but working on the same group of muscles that give me strength. The training is so convenient at home and Emma supports me with whatever my body is going through to keep the training going at my pace. I have learnt that core, back, glutes and leg strength is so important as I age. The most recent moment was returning from a 7 week break whilst overseas skiing. I thought backcountry and cross country skiing would keep me strong whilst not training. I was so wrong! Next time I'll zoom in on holidays! After my first session back I could feel every single muscle aching in the best way possible. It gave me the best reminder that strength training is a way of life. Highly recommend Emma and the training, especially from my own personal experience that I have benefited from.Posted on Google Noni Morrissey I highly recommend Fujiwhara. This one of the best things I have done in years. Working with Emma has saved my knees, and everything else. The program is flexible, both in situ and online and Emma runs the show seamlessly keeping an eye on each exercise and performance. It is varied, interesting, at times incredibly difficult and always, always worthwhile. The best exercise you do is the exercise you do. I have not stopped recommending Fujiwhara to everyone I know. Fujiwhara is excellent particularly if you have any injuries, such as rotator cuff tears, back problems, all the niggles associated with growing old, or just doing too much when young. I cannot recommend Fujiwhara enough. A friend had been training with Emma from Fujiwhara and I had noticed a great improvement in her health and fitness. I was entering my 60s and becoming weaker and more unfit and I dislike gyms so was at a loss as to what to do. Fujiwhara held classes in the local park and online which was perfect for me. What I hadn't realised was just how life changing it would be. My health and strength has greatly improved over the many years I have attended Emma's classes, and continues to improve. I thought my main goal was to lose weight but what I discovered was increased strength in all my body. I had several injuries and had to be careful not to reinjure myself and Emma set up excellent exercises targeted at those areas of weakness. My goal now is to always exercise, lift weights and use bands and to never lose fitness. I love being able to train from home, I love the community feel of the classes and the great variation of exercises to target different areas of weakness. Training with Jujiwara I have learnt that even as an older woman I can become strong, lift weights, move with greater flexibility, improve balance - I have not fallen in 4 years thanks to Emma's balancing exercises. A great moment was when I could lift our very large cat and basket with ease into the car. If you could see my cat you would understand!Posted on Google Hala I had an amazing experience training with Emma, she is incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and attentive. I have started training mid-February and I can already notice a huge difference in my strength. From the very first session, Emma took the time to understand my needs and tailored workouts. What I appreciated most was her constant encouragement, she always believed I could do more. I haven’t been training for years and in just a couple of months , I’ve seen significant improvements. Emma genuinely cares about their clients' progress. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer!Posted on Google Vinisha Krishnan When I first joined Fujiwhara more than a year back, I wanted to improve my overall strength and gain more energy throughout the day. As I started working with Emma, I realized that my goals expanded to improving my flexibility and focusing on functional fitness. What I love most about training with Emma is the variety and personalized approach. Emma always tailors the workouts to fit my progress and keeps me challenged while ensuring I'm always working safely. I remember the feeling of accomplishment and how Emma pushed me to believe in myself and go beyond what I thought I was capable of. I would definitely recommend Emma (Fujiwhara) to anyone looking for a supportive, motivating environment. It’s been a great experience, and I’ve improved so much more than I initially expected. Thank you Emma and can’t wait to smash more goals.Posted on Google Dishant Arora I came to Fujiwhara because of back pain and wanted to improve my strength and mobility. Training with Emma has not only helped relieve my pain but also improved my posture and movement. My focus has now shifted from back pain relief to building strength overall. What I love most is Emma’s focus on technique and the way she incorporates exercises that are different from traditional workouts. The variety keeps training engaging and effective. I’d highly recommend training with Emma, to anyone looking to recover from pain, build strength, and move better.Posted on Google Hazel Lim-Lam I've been training with Emma since 2013, and I can't recommend her enough! When I started, I was a complete beginner, but with her patience and clear instructions, I gained the confidence to exercise safely and effectively. In 2023, my 15-year-old son joined me for personal training. I wanted him to learn proper techniques from a professional to avoid injuries and bad habits, and I trusted Emma completely. Today, he still trains with her and also goes to the gym on his own, and I feel reassured knowing he has the right foundation. Recently, my 13-year-old daughter joined us. She was hesitant at first, but Emma’s encouragement and support made all the difference. Now, she’s gradually shifting her mindset and even looks forward to her sessions! Emma is an incredible trainer who genuinely cares about her clients. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, she’s the best person to guide you on your fitness journey!
