When I looked at the training it was simple but effective and not the usual gym grind. It was in a suburb on my way to work which was perfect, and then zoom came about which is so convenient to train at home. I started wanting to be stronger for the paddling, biking,golfing and other sports I do to keep fit and enjoy. I now focus more on the understanding that this is going to be a lifelong compliment to staying strong as I grow older gracefully. The program is individually catered and changes every training session but working on the same group of muscles that give me strength. The training is so convenient at home and Emma supports me with whatever my body is going through to keep the training going at my pace. I have learnt that core, back, glutes and leg strength is so important as I age. The most recent moment was returning from a 7 week break whilst overseas skiing. I thought backcountry and cross country skiing would keep me strong whilst not training. I was so wrong! Next time I'll zoom in on holidays! This one of the best things I have done in years. Working with Emma has saved my knees, and everything else. The program is flexible, both in situ and online and Emma runs the show seamlessly keeping an eye on each exercise and performance. It is varied, interesting, at times incredibly difficult and always, always worthwhile. The best exercise you do is the exercise you do. I have not stopped recommending Fujiwhara to everyone I know. Fujiwhara is excellent particularly if you have any injuries, such as rotator cuff tears, back problems, all the niggles associated with growing old, or just doing too much when young. I cannot recommend Fujiwhara enough. A friend had been training with Emma from Fujiwhara and I had noticed a great improvement in her health and fitness. I was entering my 60s and becoming weaker and more unfit and I dislike gyms so was at a loss as to what to do. Fujiwhara held classes in the local park and online which was perfect for me. What I hadn't realised was just how life changing it would be. My health and strength has greatly improved over the many years I have attended Emma's classes, and continues to improve. I thought my main goal was to lose weight but what I discovered was increased strength in all my body. I had several injuries and had to be careful not to reinjure myself and Emma set up excellent exercises targeted at those areas of weakness. My goal now is to always exercise, lift weights and use bands and to never lose fitness. I love being able to train from home, I love the community feel of the classes and the great variation of exercises to target different areas of weakness. Training with Jujiwara I have learnt that even as an older woman I can become strong, lift weights, move with greater flexibility, improve balance - I have not fallen in 4 years thanks to Emma's balancing exercises. When I started, I was a complete beginner, but with her patience and clear instructions, I gained the confidence to exercise safely and effectively. In 2023, my 15-year-old son joined me for personal training. I wanted him to learn proper techniques from a professional to avoid injuries and bad habits, and I trusted Emma completely.
